Math question in UK was used to promote religious family values

14 September 2016 - The Royal Grammar School High Wycombe has asked students a math question about how many men are married to women, while adding that God only intended to have heterosexual marriages.

“As God intended”

The math quiz asked: “If in a town 70% of the men are married to 90% of the women (and each marriage is between one man and one woman, as God intended when he made humans male and female) what percentage of the adult population is married?”
The question was drawn up by a now-retired teacher.

Apology

Students at a grammar school in Buckinghamshire were shocked to see the casual homophobia in their monthly math quiz. The Royal Grammar school has apologized over the question.
