Survey on the right to education
This survey helps GALE (the Global Alliance for LGBT Education) to make a report on how your country provides supportive education for sexually and gender diverse students. In this survey, we call this for short "SGD" (Sexually and Gender Diverse). With “sexually and gender diverse”, we mean lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex students and students with other labels, who are not heterosexual, or not strictly male of female. We approach you as an expert. This means we consider you knowledgeable about the country situation because of your work and function, your research or your activism in education. It does not mean we expect you to know everything or make adequate estimates on all areas of the right to education for SGD students. Feel free to answer “I don’t know”.

The survey consists of 29 questions. If you don’t add textual comments, you should be able to answers them in 15 minutes. Some of the questions ask for some factual information. Other questions start with “please give your estimate” and ask for your expert assessment on how your country scores on the 15 checkpoints of the GALE Checklist on the Right to Education. Your answers on these questions will be compared to the responses of high school students.

The survey is anonymous if you wish. This means we don’t ask for your name or other personal data until the last questions, and when you don’t give your name and email, and your responses remain completely anonymous. This is our privacy policy: https://www.gale.info/doc/accountability/GALE-Privacy-Statement.pdf.
