GALE cannot survive without financial supporters and sponsors. We would appreciate your donation to support GALE and its activities.

By giving to GALE, the Global Alliance for LGBT Education, you:

  • support LGBT organizations to carry out education projects
  • support the worldwide information campaign against prejudice and ignorance
  • support the interactive exchange of expertise and views of educators
  • contribute to the building of our database to share experiences and information
  • help to enhance the quality of education about LGBT issues
  • promote the inclusion of LGBT issues in regular training institutes

How to make a donation

To minimize costs involved and to make use of the existing financial systems and expertise, we choose to channel funds and donations through HIVOS, one of the founding organizations of GALE. HIVOS has been accredited by the Dutch Central Bureau for Funding Management (CBF).

Tax deductible

In many countries, gifts are tax exempt or deductible to some extent. Please check the possibilities for this in your country. HIVOS is a tax-exempt organization.

Donor support

By giving to GALE a minimum of $35 per year you will become an important Ambassador in our work to train and teach against prejudice and ignorance.
Ambassador donors of $35-$1,000 receive copies of GALE Update, the monthly newsletter for GALE members.
Honor Society donors are individuals who make annual major gifts of $1,000 or more. In addition to what you receive as an Ambassador donor, Honor Society donors receive special invitations to events GALE organizes, will be introduced to distinguished guests of GALE, and are mentioned in our Annual Report and on the Donor webpage.
Summa Society donors are individuals who have made GALE the beneficiary of their wills, annuities, life insurance or other planned giving vehicles.
