UNESCO Liaison Officer

Summary of the job

The GALE-UNESCO Liaison Officer is responsible to maintain contacts with UNESCO at the global level. He/she identifies activities and networks of UNESCO and opportunities for collaboration, contacts relevant staff and if possible, visits UNESCO events, relates UNESCO information to GALE and vice versa and connects GALE members to relevant UNESCO contacts. There are two aims to this work: using UNESCO expertise in the GALE context and promoting the use of GALE expertise in the UNESCO context.
This function is vacant. Currently it is fulfilled by Wim Monasso.
