First meeting of Education Steering Team of IGLYO

February 20, 2009 - The Education steering team of IGLYO gathered in London last December. It was attended by two member organisations, NUS LGBT ( UK ) and ANSO (Nordic countries), and two international partners, ESU (European Students Union) and OBESSU (Organising Bureau of European School Student Unions). The steering team reviewed IGLYO's priorities in education, one of the four core pillars of our Strategic Plan 2008-2010.

Among others recommendations were further work on an education policy paper for IGLYO; putting together a joint conference with international student and teacher unions in 2010; and continue organising training courses on fighting homophobia in classrooms on the model of what was organised in January 2008 in Oslo , Norway.
