May 29, 2010 - From November 4-6, 2010, a UN conference on Educating for Human Rights, Peace and Intercultural Dialogue will take place in Sydney, Australia.
The conference will be held at the Parramatta Campus of the University of Western Sydney. The conference will examine the contribution of human rights culture to the good functioning of the civil society; highlight key trends and achievements in human rights education in particular, and aim to secure greater commitment for future human rights education. The conference will have a strong development and Indigenous component. The call for papers ends on Friday 9th July 2010.
The conference has been organised in response to the UN World Programme for Human Rights Education to advance the human rights education, in particular in Australia and Asia Pacific region.
