Marseille, France. The Summer School is an opportunity for LGBT storytellers and LGBT volunteers who do panel sessions in schools and in other youth environments to exchange views, methods and make liaisons for international partnerships. It is also the place where GALE storytelling project partners meet and collaborate on the development of toolkit on storytelling. The Summer School takes part in the greater context of the annual Summer University on Homosexualities (UEEH), which until now was mainly visited by a French speaking audience. In 2010, there will be about 150 French speaking participants and about 30-40 English speaking (GALE) participants. The main language at the GALE Summer School will be English, we will try to arrange volunteer translation in French and if necessary Spanish. Some participants have been invited and get a scholarship. Currently all scholarships have been awarded. However, there is still space to register for the summer school without scholarship. The total costs are about 400 euro's for the whole nine days. This is 60 euro registration/cleaning costs, 163 euro for a student room/blanket at the campus (shared toilets/showers), a 30 euro deposit for the room key and an estimated 170 euro for meals. The registration and rooms are to be paid to the UEEH organization at arrival. The meals are either in the campus student restaurant or jointly prepared and paid per meal by yourself. The GALE summer school does not cost any addtional fee.
